In my career, I have a great deal of experience in the sales and marketing field and have strong background in association management, event management and advertising. I am always eager to undertake new challenges and am a self starter with a great deal of enthusiasm in all my endeavors. As a local to St. Augustine FL, I am passionate when it comes to the Marine Industry. From managing fishing tournaments and boat shows to working directly with marine related businesses as a marketing consultant, I am always looking for my next project and eager to begin something new. I consider myself a problem solver, being able to think outside the box to provide a solution that may not be obvious to others. Whether working in a partnership or independently, I take pride in managing projects to bring success to all involved.

    Administrative Director

    North Florida Marine Association

    As the Administrative Director I serve as an employee of the Board of Directors responsible for managing the affairs of the North Florida Marine Association in accordance with the by-laws, established procedure and directives of the Board/President and/or membership.  My responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Membership

    • Maintain an up-to-date membership list
    • Assist Membership Committee in new member recruitment and member retention 
    • Meet with and survey existing members to determine how the NFMA can best meet their needs
    • Develop new and innovative way of promoting the NFMA and of attracting and retaining members
    • Provide information and assistance to members as requested

    Meeting and Other Events

    • Plan and attend board meetings
    • Insure that all policies and by-laws are adhered to 
    • Represent the NFMA at social activities that are important to the welfare of the association
    • Attend and Host the Jacksonville Boat Show and any other Boat Shows put on by the NFMA
    • Work with the Board to put on the Jacksonville Boat Show and any other boat show sponsored by the NFMA

    Publications

    • Write, design and distribute a monthly newsletter to all members
    • Promote advertising and free marketing opportunities to the NFMA members on a regular basis
    • Work with public relations consultants to write and oversee position papers on industry related issues
    • Update the BoatJax website
    • Maintain social media platforms

    Marine Industry Relations, Community Relations and Political Relations

    • Attend regional and national marine-related conferences, as directed and approved by the Board.  Remain abreast of issues affecting the industry and is components and network with others in the industry
    • Attend local water way meetings and other government meeting to advocate on behalf of the NFMA
    • Represent the association at sponsored events
    • Participate on committees designed to expand the role of boating in the community
    • Maintain a list of all city/county/state elected officials as well as government agencies that influence the marine industry
    • Work with area and statewide elected officials and those running for office to provide a forum for communication their stands on marine-related issues to our members
    • Monitor articles, hearings, agencies city/county government and notify board members when issues are scheduled to be discussed that may need to be addressed by the marine industry
    • Address at public meeting, elected officials on an as-needed basis regarding current issues facing the marine industry 
    • Represent the NFMA to the MIAF
